HOW IT WORKS

The active ingredient in the De-Alcohol-Orizer™ is a compound that works in multiple areas of the body. As we're in the process of obtaining the patent, we cannot be too specific about what it is comprised of, but we can still explain how it works.

Our compound is absorbed buccally and sublingually as the De-Alcohol-Orizer™ is consumed, diffusing through the oral mucosa and directly entering into the bloodstream.

In the brain, our compound binds to glutamate receptors, gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors, and acetylcholine receptors (specifically in the nucleus accumbens). These are the receptors in the brain that ethanol binds to. The difference is our compound has an imperfect fit against these receptors, and so the receptors believe they are satisfied, without any of the emotional or physical sensations of being intoxicated. Our compound is also considerably more "sticky" than ethanol, pushing its way past the ethanol so it is the only substance bound to the brain's receptors. This is why you will not be affected by alcohol or drugs for up to twelve hours after consumption.

While negating any feelings of intoxication from the brain, the compound also rapidly metabolizes ethanol in the bloodstream, thus lowering a person's BAC.

Clinical trials were conducted in 2017 on a sample of 812 men and women between the ages of 21-65, weighing between 110-210 lbs., and with BACs between .08-.20. The mean time to achieve sobriety was 32 seconds, with a standard deviation of 28.667. At 118 seconds, 99% of trial participants were considered sober by testing standards. Sobriety was considered a BAC of .04 or below.
